Like with many complex instruments, there are multiple ways to solve certain problems and to measure the required inputs. Combining the various functions leads to a multitude of advanced uses.

Wndsn Online Calculators
Companion tools to Wndsn Quadrant Telemeters.
To supplement our instruments, and to provide educational materials and diverse ways of accessing our devices and techniques, we are making available a number of calculators, to accompany our printed manuals, as exercise tools, to get a 'third opinion', and to demonstrate underlying principles.
The calculators provided include a Range calculator, a Sun calculator, as well as a Star calculator, and a few helpers for height, elevation, and shadow square problems.
The suite of calculators is RESTful, which means that one can bookmark calculations and their results. An API with example output is provided for data exchange in JSON, XML, or CSV.
The screenshot shows the input options for the Range calculator. The results are returned in configurable high-precision and are supported by explanations and the required formulas.
