Wndsn Telemeters are for informational, instructional, and educational purposes only.
We are aiming to produce instruments which can be relied upon in adverse conditions, when all else fails. You should make your own judgement about the accuracy of our instruments' readings and whether to act on the results or whether to consult alternative input. Always use our instruments in conjunction with your senses, including common sense.
The nature of the environments and situations our instruments are used in is dangerous at the best of times. You are strongly advised not to use our instruments as your primary or sole navigation tool. Always get a second opinion from a second means if you are unsure about the presence of hazards, or other navigational aspects.
Great care is taken in the creation of our Telemeter instruments. We cannot accept any responsibility for errors, omissions, or positional accuracy. There are no warranties, expressed or implied, including the warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, accompanying the instruments.
You should not use a Telemeter or carry out other distracting mapping activities if you are not sufficiently confident, or require full concentration while doing any (outdoor) activity. As always, make sure you have all the necessary equipment and training, take all sensible precautions, and be aware of the risks. As stated above, we will not be held responsible as it's the navigator's responsibility to see and avoid hazards.
Users of our instruments should review or consult the research and original sources to ascertain the scope of usage of our instruments as well as gaining full understanding of limitations and accuracy.
Taking an accurate bearing is a single focus task and makes you vulnerable. Be mindful that there is an awareness gap while you are busy concentrating. Check your surroundings first, and be prepared and ready to switch back, if necessary.
